Course Overview:

This course teaches healthcare professionals how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, deliver effective ventilations, and use an AED. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a 2-year BLS eCard from AHA.

This class is designed for:

  • Nurses, doctors, EMTs, dentists, and other medical personnel

  • Students in healthcare programs

  • First responders and anyone needing AHA BLS certification for employment

NOTE: This is the in-person skills session only. To attend, you must first complete the STOP THE BLEED® Online Course. (Students without proof of online completion will be asked to reschedule. No refunds will be provided)

Course Overview:

In this STOP THE BLEED® Interactive Course, you'll learn three life-saving techniques that can help prevent someone from bleeding to death before emergency services arrive:

  1. Apply direct pressure to a wound using your hands

  2. Pack a wound to help control severe bleeding

  3. Apply a tourniquet correctly and effectively

Both of the following online training programs are DoD-approved. Please let your instructor know which version you completed so we can issue the correct certification. Upon successful completion, you will receive a STOP THE BLEED® Certificate of Completion.

Who Should Take This Course?

  • School staff, security, and law enforcement

  • Workplace emergency response teams

  • Event staff, coaches, and the general public

  • Anyone looking to be prepared in a bleeding emergency

What You’ll Learn:

  • Applying direct pressure to control bleeding

  • Packing a wound correctly

  • Proper tourniquet use

  • Emergency response basics until EMS arrives
